※These dancing peoples ware extracted from a book of "Dancing to Part of Garaku Misic" published in 1905 by UNSODO. The print is printed in late years using original woodblocks carved in Meiji period.
Takashima Chiharu is a painter in the late Edo period.
He was born in Osaka. He went to Kyoto and learned Tosa school painting. He also went to Tokyo and studied painting more from old paintings.
In year 906 (Year Engi 6), when retired emperor UDA observed the Junior Sumo wrestling, the music was made by Fujiwara no Tadafusa（Head of the area Yamashiro,
dance is made by Shikinobu kyo Atsumi Imperial Prince.
In the year of 907 (Year Engi 8) the play was made for Daigo Emperor by SAKON no Shoushou Fujiwara no Tadafusa.
It was played on every congratulated occat.
It is also known as Ryouou.
It is famous for one of the dance of "Sahou" (dance style 唐楽 Tougaku) known for the Hashirimai where its dance solo.
