Description
Kiyomizu Ware is one of the representative crafts in Kyoto, and is characterized by its high decorativeness and variety. It does not have a fixed style and incorporates various techniques.
This product is a Kiyomizu Ware plate with a hand-painted design of “Choju-Giga (Frolicking Animals)”. It is one of the most famous set of illustrated scrolls in Japan and is said to have been painted in the 12th century. The name of the design "Kosan-ji" is named after Kosan-ji temple in Kyoto which holds the scrolls.
The plate can be used for any occasion and to hold a variety of dishes, but it can also be displayed as a decorative plate.
The size and color may be slightly different as each product is handmade. This product is not suitable for the microwave or the dishwasher.
