Description
Mokuzougan is a traditional wooden craft that creates pictures by cutting out a designed shape from a board and inlaying a piece of wood in a different color.
Skilled techniques are required as the materials must be cut into exactly the same size to fit without gaps. As it is made of natural materials, your box may vary from the one in the pictures. It is made in Hakone,Kanagawa Prefecture known as the origin of a wide variety of timber.
Trick box is the typical products of yosegi zaiku (another wooden craft in Hakone). It is opened by sliding the parts in the right order. This product requires 4 steps to open.
