Description

This is a set of 5 soup bowls made in Aizu, Fukushima Prefecture which is known for producing Aizu lacquerware. Aizu lacquerware has a history of more than 400 years and was designated as Traditional Crafts of Japan in 1975.
For cleaning, please wash it by hand with warm water and a soft sponge or a cloth.
Dish soap can be used to remove oily stains. Please wipe and dry it well before storing. The use of dishwasher is also available.
Please note that the product may differ slightly from the images shown.

Very beautiful and elegant

The chloranthus is absolutely lovely in its “brushstroke” depiction of flowers and stems. But I hope some time the company will consider wrapping the floral motif 360 degrees around the bowl (double-sided vs. one-sided). This way on a table setting the full decor can be see and enjoyed by guests from all angles instead of a blank black surface if seated opposite.
