It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period.
Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan.
"Haregi (Best Clothes)" is a cute kokeshi doll wearing a bright red color that can be said to be the standard color of Japanese kimono. The red color also means an amulet.
Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity. Please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.
There are individual differences because each is handmade.
