"The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. The dramatic composition is a glimpse of Mt. Fuji far away from the undulating waves. The original print was published in the late Edo period in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. It is one of the most famous woodblock print and recognizable works of Japanese art in the world. The Original impressions of the print are in many western collections. This is a reproduction.

wonderful woodblock print

All people love the Wave and it's reprinted everywhere, but to have a real woodblock print and think that Hokusai worked exactly this way, that's amazing ! Great job!

I saw this wood block print in store when I visited Kyoto, but I was worried about damaging the print on the way home. But it was one of my regrets when I returned home without an authentic wood block print. So I was delighted to see the the Handicraft centre has an online shop and I was able to purchase the print I loved in the store.

I highly recommend the quality of the products and the shipping process.

I wish I knew that I could have requested this service in store. However, it's great to know I can buy more amazing items that support traditional artisans in Japan
