This Iai practice sword is manufactured in Gifu Prefecture which has historically been known as the workplace of the Japanese swords. The blade is handmade with the traditional technique of sand casting.
This sword was made by the school of “Bizen Osafune”, a famous swordsmith school from Okayama prefecture which has strong brand power. They made a big success for the first mass production of the Japanese sword in the 16th century, and they exported them to China at that time and gained a lot of profits.
They of course keep their good quality so, the school; of Bizen Osafune became like a big sword company in the 16th century. However, their workplace sank because of the flood and Tsunami.
The HAMON pattern shows a delicate double wave and you will find the wave even on the BOUSHI(curve to the tip of the blade).
This sword should be used not only for Iai practice but also for decoration in your living.Regarding Stand
