Folding screen is called Byoubu in Japanese. Its name comes from shutting wind.
Actually, we use it as a back screen for the ornament, for example dolls, flower vases, Samurai helmet etc...
This kind of screen is table top type, and especially suits well as a back screen of small armor of Samurai sold in the website, or you can of course enjoy as a back screen of the other decorative miniatures too.
This folding screen is greenish gold color and it is by the printed color on the gilt paper, we call this way as "Kurogane haku ". The feature of the "Kurogane haku" remarks uniformed line between each "haku (foil)".
