Arita Ware was the porcelain produced for the first time in Japan in the 17th century, and is a general term for porcelain made around Arita Town, Western part of Saga Prefecture. Arita Ware is characterized by its hard, durable, translucent white porcelain with indigo blue, red, yellow, gold, and other gorgeous colors delicately painted on it.
From the 17th to the 18th century, Arita Ware was exported not only domestically but also to foreign countries, and since it was shipped out from Imari port, it was also called "Imari Ware". Today, products made in Arita Town are called "Arita Ware", and the ones made in Imari City are called "Imari Ware".
This product is an Arita Ware spouted sake vessel with a lid. It has a delicate pattern called "Fuki-zumi", which looks as if ink is sprayed on it, and the fish pattern painted with indigo blue adds a slight accent to it. It can be used for both cold and hot sake. Not only as a sake vessel but it can also be used as a container for dressing and sauces.
As each product is handmade, please note that there may be individual differences.
