Description

It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period.
Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan.
"Fujisan (Mt.Fuji)" is a kokeshi doll with beautiful scenery representing Japan such as Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms, five-storied pagoda, and torii gate. 
Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity. Please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.
There are individual differences because each is handmade.

The order was processed and arrived promptly and she was packaged securely .

The detail is exquisite and highlights beautiful memories of my recent trip to Japan especially seeing Mt Fuji unveiled, the cherry blossom, Tori gate, 5 level pagoda

Fabulous Kokeshi doll

Fujisan caught my eye straight away on the website. The pictures on the front looked so nice. It arrived quickly and very well packed. On opening I was totally blown away with beautiful painting. It’s absolutely perfect and even more beautiful than I imagined. The quality is phenomenal. I am so happy with my purchase. I was lucky enough to visit Kyoto in October but didn’t get time to shop. I wanted to buy from you and not from a retailer in the UK. Love it and she takes pride of place in my lounge.
