Description
"Kissako" is the phrase came from Zen. It means "Have a cup of tea" which is the strong word of scolding.
It has a deep meaning.
A long time ago, in China, there was a high priet of Zen "Esshu Zenshi". One day, he asked two young monk "Have you ever come here?".
One monk replied "Yes", but another monk replied "No". Esshu Zenshi sait to them "Have a cup of tea".
Then, a temple manager came to him and asked "Why did you say to have a cup of tea?".
Esshuy Zenshi said same thing to this manager "Have a cup of tea".
This high priest treat these three different persons, young monks and manager in the same way.
We often change our attitude by the status of persons, but Esshu's attitude means how it is imporant to treat any persons in te same way.
This is also one of the important things to stay Zen".
