Nowadays, it is developing a new folding screen to fit modern life. You can decorate it by standing it up and hanging it on a wall using a hanger.
The iris blooming at the waterside has been enjoyed from ancient times in Japan.
The iris part used TAKASAGO foils, a type of foils made from silver as the base, with gold color reproduced using complementary colors.

The background of the iris is created by painting strokes of light ink in both vertical and horizontal directions on washi paper to form ripples. Over this, a pigment containing minerals is applied, giving a beautiful pearlescent sheen that reflects light and sparkles. It is also used in techniques like "Kira-zuri" in ukiyo-e prints.
