It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period. Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan.
The round and rounded form is adorable.
It is one of the Four Seasons series and represents summer.
Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity. Please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.
There are individual differences because each is handmade.
