Lake Chuzenji in Nikko is a beautiful lake located in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Its allure lies in its stunning natural environment and the surrounding scenery.
Lake Chuzenji is one of the lakes in the Nikko area and is situated within the World Heritage Site of Nikko. The lake is surrounded by lush forests, offering breathtaking views in every season. During the autumn foliage season, the trees along the lakeshore display vibrant colors, creating a mesmerizing and enchanting landscape.

“Shin Hanga” is a new style of Japanese printing. Printed or designed in the Meiji period to the Showa period. (1897 to 1960).
Like the traditional ukiyo-e prints, it is produced by the division of labor by painters, carvers, and printers directed by a publisher with the aim of modernizing and reconstructing ukiyo-e. This is originally published by UNSODO (Kyoto).

Kasamatsu Shiro
1898-1991
Kasamatsu Shiro was born in Asakusa, Tokyo. When he was 14 years old he started to study Japanese painting under Kaburagi Kiyokata followed by Ito Shinsui and Kawase Hasui. He started making woodblock prints from UNSODO in 1945 and published nearly a hundred designs.
His works depicting Japanese views have been re-evaluated in recent years.
