Description

Arita Ware was the porcelain produced for the first time in Japan in the 17th century, and is a general term for porcelain made around Arita Town, Western part of Saga Prefecture. Arita Ware is characterized by its hard, durable, translucent white porcelain with indigo blue, red, yellow, gold, and other gorgeous colors delicately painted on it.

From the 17th to the 18th century, Arita Ware was exported not only domestically but also to foreign countries, and since it was shipped out from Imari port, it was also called "Imari Ware". Today, products made in Arita Town are called "Arita Ware", and the ones made in Imari City are called "Imari Ware".

This product is a set of Arita Ware sake bottle and two cups. The texture of the porcelain is slightly rough like Yuzu citrus peel, and the traditional red painting called "Banreki Akae" is painted on it, giving it a classic and elegant look. The gourd-like shape of the bottle is also lovely. It will be delivered in a wooden box.

As each product is handmade, please note that there may be individual differences.
