【Cherry blossoms in Arashiyama, Kyoto】

Have you all already crossed the famous Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama, Kyoto?

This print depicting Arashiyama, a famous scenic spot in northern Kyoto, is acclaimed as one of the masterpieces in the 'Views of Famous Places in the Sixty-Odd Provinces'.

At the break in the 'Suyari Kasumi' mist that hangs over Arashiyama, the falling water belongs to the Tonase Falls. Beneath the Togetsukyo Bridge, the small boats drifting along the Katsura River evoke the tranquil serenity of spring.

※’Suyari Kasumi' refers to an illustration in yamato-e painting and particularly in emakimono (picture scrolls), depicting a lingering mist stretching horizontally."
