It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period.
Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan. This product was made in the workshop of "Usaburo Kokeshi" in Gunma Prefecture. "Wakamusha (Young Soldier)" is a kokeshi wishing for the healthy growth of boys. Helmets and armor are said to be protective charms. Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity, please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity. There are individual differences because each is handmade.

「近代こけし（創作こけし）」は、東北の「伝統こけし」が戦後全国に広まる中で生まれ、群馬県が全国一の生産量を誇っています。こちらの商品は群馬県にある「卯三郎こけし」で作られました。「若武者」は男の子の健やかな成長を願うこけしです。兜や鎧は身を守るためのお守りと言われています。こけしは光と湿度に弱いため、日光に当たる場所や湿度が高い場所は避けることをおすすめします。一つひとつ手作りのため個体差があります。
