Description
This product is a glass tumbler made by Hirota glass.
Hirota glass, established in 1899, is one of the oldest glassmakers in Tokyo.
Edo glassware is produced in Tokyo and some areas of Chiba Prefecture, and was designated as Traditional Crafts of Japan in 2014. The manufacturing methods, materials, and traditional techniques of this craftwork are passed down from the Edo period.
The feature of this “Taisho Roman” series is the opalescent-colored designs. They are popular during the Taisho Period and are made with the technique which Hirota Glass resurrected.
