"The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. The dramatic composition is a glimpse of Mt. Fuji far away from the undulating waves. The original print was published in the late Edo period in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. It is one of the most famous woodblock print and recognizable works of Japanese art in the world. The Original impressions of the print are in many western collections. This is a reproduction.
