It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period. Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan.

"Tsubaki no sato(Village of Camellia)" small is decorated with large-flowered camellias.

Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity. Please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.

There are individual differences because each is handmade.

I am so happy and grateful to receive my beautiful Kokeshi Doll made by a Japanese Artisan Craftsman to the highest standard. It is absolutely beautiful, so tactile to the touch and has only been touched by my positive vibes - I highly recommend when you are visiting Japan, please take time out to visit the Kyoto Handicraft Center - every item is truly remarkable. Even the packaging was done with care and love and I will certainly be purchasing more products.
