Lovely Yukata
Very pleased with the product and service.
Before the age of machines, Japanese weavers created the Kasuri pattern by hand — dyeing individual threads before weaving to produce a distinctive blurred, brushstroke-like design. The result is a pattern that feels both rustic and refined, carrying the warmth of handcraft in every thread.
A yukata is a lightweight, casual form of kimono traditionally worn in summer and at Japanese inns (ryokan). Unlike formal kimono, it is designed for everyday comfort — making it a beloved choice as room wear, a bathrobe alternative, or a stylish loungewear piece at home.

Kasuri (絞) is one of Japan’s most celebrated traditional textile techniques, known in the West as ikat. Threads are resist-dyed before weaving, creating a softly blurred, almost painterly pattern — as if drawn with a dry brush. No two pieces are exactly alike, giving each yukata a subtle uniqueness. This design features a clean, minimal Kasuri motif that pairs effortlessly with the natural texture of cotton.
This yukata comes complete with a matching sash (obi), so it’s ready to wear straight out of the box — no additional accessories needed. Easy to put on even without assistance.
