Description

This product is a knee-length cotton kimono with a pocket on the front. The length comes from “hanten” that became popular as a work cloth or jacket in the Edo-period of Japan.
It is recommended as a comfortable home cloth or as a bathrobe. This length makes it even easier to wear and walk. You can also wear it like a jacket or cardigan.
Crane is quite a popular pattern, which is a symbol of longevity and good fortune. Peony is a symbol of nobility and prosperity. You can enjoy this elegant feeling. It comes with a thin sash of the same fabric.
There is an individual difference in how the pattern appears. Recommend ironing after washing.

Beautiful quality and design

I chose the bright green colour and couldn’t be happier. The colours and print design are lovely. I like that there are no belt loops so I can wear it as a long jacket over jeans. I also ordered the same design in black silk to use as a dressing gown. Purchasing was easy and the order was processed and shipped super fast. I can highly recommend Kyoto Handicraft Center.
