Kato Teruhide
Kato Teruhide was born in Kyoto. After graduating Japanese painting course of Kyoto Art University, he established a studio. He was also a famous kimono fashion designer. While participating in various craft projects, he created a unique style on his own. When he was 50 years old, he decided to follow his real passion, and became a traditional Kyoto woodblock artist. He held solo exhibitions in various places such as New York and was gathered attention from overseas.

Printed structure is called "Naginata-Hoko" which is one of the main structure of the Gion Festival.
Naginata (Long Sword) is decorated in order to take away the bad luck & illness.
