It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period.
Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan. This product was made in the workshop of "Usaburo Kokeshi" in Gunma Prefecture.
"Koinotakinobori" is a kokeshi doll with a design of a carp swimming up a fall. This design is considered lucky in Japan.
Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity, please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.
There are individual differences because each is handmade.
