It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period.
Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan. This product was made in the workshop of "Usaburo Kokeshi" in Gunma Prefecture.
"Kabutokun" is a armored kokeshi doll. Helmets and armor are said to be protective charms. Adorable expression and round shape heal you every time you look at it.
Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity, please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.
There are individual differences because each is handmade.
