There are many historic, traditional handicrafts all across Japan, but have you ever wished you could witness craftsmen at work in their studios and factories?
For those who are interested in craftsmanship and manufacturing industries, a special event, DESIGN WEEK KYOTO is starting this weekend in Kyoto. A great variety of factories, studios and stores will be open to the public specifically for this event, and you can watch them working on-site and online. (For on-site open house, there will even be fun workshops you can join!)
From Kyoto Handicraft Center (Amita Corp.), our damascene craftsman as Amita Damascene Factory and our client Tobari Sewing Factory will participate in this event. Both of our studios are located on the same floor of Kyoto Handicraft Center West Building.
Reservations are required to participate in the on-site events and registrations are required to join online Zoom meetings. Please note that the events will be in Japanese only, but if you are interested, please take this opportunity and join our open house!
