Woodblock Print, Original woodblocks from UNSODO
This was printed in late years by UNSODO publisher (Kyoto), using original woodblocks which were inherited from an original publisher to UNSODO in Meiji period.
Nakamura Houchu was born in Kyoto and moved to Osaka. While he studing drawing he gradually became interested in the Rinpa school. But his works were not only as Rimpa school style, he originaly esrtablished the technique of tarashikomi (a technique in which colors are dripped or brushed into wet ink). It calms the mind that many of his works are pretty.
