It was said that Kokeshi dolls spread as a souvenir in the hot springs of the Tohoku region in the latter half of the Edo period.
Gunma Prefecture is the largest production of "The modern Kokeshi" in Japan. This product was made in the workshop of "Usaburo Kokeshi" in Gunma Prefecture.
"Hananomichi" is a soft colored kokeshi doll with cherry blossoms design on Purple and blue Kimono.
Kokeshi dolls are vulnerable to light and humidity, please avoid places exposed to sunlight or high humidity.
There are individual differences because each is handmade.

I love this doll. It's a good size and so unusual. I like "different". Its lines are smooth and very pleasing. I would love another in a different colour.
