Description

"Furoshiki" are type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth.
It is said that Furoshiki were already in use during the Nara Period (710-794) as important items. It is said that such a cloth began to called furoshiki after the Edo Period (1603-1868).
Later the common people began to use cloth to bundle things and to transport things. They can be used in various ways other than just wrapping cloth. Nowadays Furoshiki played an important role in reduce the amount of plastic as a shopping bag.
This design is based on a famous work by the renowned artist Hokusai Katsushika.
