Description

Aizome (Indigo Dye) is a traditional technique of dying which has been popular in Japan for a long time. The technique was being used in the world with a long history. Around the 7th century, it was introduced to Japan. In Edo period (1603~1867), it became popular among the common people. Aizome has deodorant, antibacterial effects and insect proofing. Ai-iro (Indigo color) is called “Japan Blue” and has become the symbolic color in Japan.
This item is checkered pattern coasters (6pcs). There are six different patterns. In Japan, the checkered pattern is called “Ichimatsu” named after Kabuki actor. It has a meaning of prosperity and is used in TOKYO 2020 Olympic emblem.

【How to Care】
・Please do not use any bleach.
・Recommend press washing by hand.
・When using machine wash with a neutral detergent, please use a laundry net.
・Please wash it separately from white fabrics to prevent color transfer.
・Stretch out wrinkles when hanging it out to dry.
・Recommend ironing on reverse side by using press cloth
