Tokuriki Tomikichiro
1902-2000
Tokuriki Tomikichiro was born in Kyoto. He graduated Kyoto Municipal Art and Crafts School and Kyoto Technical School of Painting.
He studied Japanese painting under Tsuchida Bakusen, Yamamoto Shunkyo, Kanokogi Takeshiro and Oil painting under Hino Yoshikichi, Oiwa tokuzo.
He frequently went to Korea to research ancient woodblocks. He prized "Chogyu” award in the National Creator's Society in 1928.
He established a studio for making woodblock prints after the war.
He exhibited works exhibitions of international woodblock print.
