Description
This product is a lacquered three-layer box with a glittering design of red and white plum blossoms. The color combination of red and white is a lucky color combination in Japan, and the plum blossom, being the flower which starts blooming in the early spring, is an auspicious motif which symbolizes prosperity.
In Japan, this kind of multi-layer box is used to serve special dishes called “Osechi” for New Year’s celebrations. It is also used as a family-sized lunch box for outdoor events such as picnics and athletic meets.
For cleaning, please wash it by hand with warm water and a soft sponge or a cloth. Please avoid soaking it in water for a long time. Dish soap can be used to remove oily stains. Please wipe and dry it well before storing.
