Dear Lynda H. san,

Thank you very much for your kind comment! Yes, this nail clipper is proudly made in Seki-city in Gifu Prefecture, a town famous for its production of swords, knives, and edged tools, so the blade is small yet very sharp! We hope you (or someone you gifted this item to) will treasure it as a quality everyday tool!

Best regards,
