This product is made in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
It is a representative place in Japan for its durable and elegant lacquerware.
It is a gift set of 2 pairs of chopsticks and chopstick rests which comes in a paulownia box.
The chopsticks with Maki-e, the gold lacquer work, are repeatedly lacquered to be durable and are achieved the surface smooth finish.
The pattern of the chopsticks expresses waiting for the full moon the next day. It is auspicious because it is full of hope in the evening of the full moon. The cherry blossoms drawn on the rests also add the quiet elegance.
It can be used for a wide range of gifts such as wedding gift, to parents, and to friends.
These are not dishwasher-safe, so please wash them by hand after use.
