This product is made in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture.
The place is known for the production of Wakasa lacquerware which was designated as Traditional Crafts in 1978.
More than 80% of lacquered chopsticks of Japan are made in Obama City.
It is a set of a pair of chopsticks (23cm) and a chopstick rest which comes in a wooden box.
A famous ukiyo-e, "The great wave off Kanagawa" by Hokusai is printed on both chopsticks and chopstick rest.
It is ideal as a gift for art lovers. It is not dishwasher-safe, so please wash it by hand after use.
